South Wales: Talbot Green, Llantrisant

Our site in Llantrisant extends to some 20 acres of land over which we have planning consent for circa 450,000 sq ft of new retail and leisure, to be developed in the years ahead. The first phase of our Talbot Green town centre project has seen infrastructure works completed. This significant milestone will trigger handover of a proportion of the land to J Sainsbury plc, who will subsequently bring forward a 120,000 sq ft anchor foodstore.


Alongside our Town Centre development, our joint venture with partners at Cromwell Property Group – Talbot Green Developments Limited (TGDL) – controls substantial areas of residentially designated land in Llantrisant. Working in partnership with Welsh Government, we are working to secure formal planning consent for a significant residential development by mid-2017. 


Scotland: Queensferry One, Fife

Situated on the northern shore of the Firth of Forth, Queensferry One occupies a magnificent gateway position with prime visibility from the new second Forth Road Bridge Crossing which opened in summer 2017 as well as having access to the M90 from Junction 1.


In conjunction with our partners Muir Group, we are progressing pre-development activities to develop 135 acres of the estate with a mixed-use Masterplan incorporating amenity space alongside offices, warehousing and industrial accommodation.

Joint Venture with JW Muir Group plc 

Scotland: The Curve, Buchanan Gate, Glasgow

The business park at Buchanan Gate has been developed by the Group over a number of years. The business park is prominently situated near to the M80 motorway, around ten miles from Glasgow City Centre. Our intended project will provide much needed Grade A office accommodation to an area where there is continued demand.

North Wales: Marina Quay, Rhyl

Marina Quay is now open and trading.  Retailers include The Range, Farmfoods and Greggs.  Construction has started on Aldi with Practical Completion expected in Q2 of 2019.  Further lettings to be announced in the months ahead.

South Wales: Station Quarter, Newport


In 2015 SDG successfully completed within the Station Quarter complex the development of a prime office building of 80,000 sq ft leased to Admiral Insurance and thereafter sold the investment to a USA Institutional Fund. Since then we have been progressing a second office building of some 50,000 sq ft over six floors which received planning consent earlier this year. Marketing of the site has commenced and we anticipate a pre-let will be secured. Additionally at Station Quarter SDG is progressing the upgrading of the existing retail and leisure space, parts of which already have pre-lets in place to leisure users.
