LANDMARK GEORGIAN OFFICE CONVERSION GAINS NEW TENANTS Aug 13 2008

Scarborough Group International has let office space in a prestigious Georgian landmark building in the heart of Bristol to one of Europe’s most dynamic holiday resort developers.

King William House, in Bristol’s Queen Square, the largest and finest Georgian square in Europe, has undergone an extensive refurbishment, creating state-of-the-art loft-style work space.

The 5,000 sq ft letting to Club La Costa, negotiated on behalf of Scarborough Group International and Sheffield United plc’s joint-venture company Blades Realty, by GVA Grimley, has achieved a rental of £90,000 pa for Scarborough International over ten years, with breaks at three and six years.

Simon McCabe, director at Scarborough Group International, said: “The development of King William House, which is a mid-terraced property on the eastern side of Queen Square, has created some of the most stylish office space in the centre of Bristol, perfectly suited to companies with the calibre of Club La Costa.

“The letting has been agreed prior to full completion of the offices, demonstrating the quality of renovation and attention to detail that has been carried throughout the scheme.”

The refurbishment at King William House covers the first and second floor suites and common areas, showcasing hardwood floors, exposed brickwork and plastered walls.
